A non immigrant "ED" 

A non-immigrant ED visa (Student visa) is for the student who would like to study in Thailand.
Student can extend a stay for 3 months up to 1 year each visa. (Depend on the program). 

The approval letter must be given from the Ministry of Education in Thailand for applying visa,
It takes about 3-4 weeks.

Immigration infomation

  • You will be given an immigration stamp allowing you to stay for 90 days at first.
  • Student needs to extend a stay permit at immigration. (Depend on the program)
  • Students have to notify the immigration office of their address when they stay in Thailand longer than 90 days.
  • Students on a private school visa (Language school) cannot extend their stay for more than one year (12 months) per visa.
  • If a school offers a course that lasts longer than 12 months, you will need to apply for a new ED visa.This visa requires you to leave the country.

  • Beginner program  (6 months)
  • Intermediate program (5 months)
  • Advanced program (6 months)

Where can I apply a student visa (Non immigrant ED visa) ?

1. Immigration, Cheangwattana, Bangkok  (Recommend) *For all nationalities. 

Currently. a TR visa - 60 days, Exemption visa 30 days, 90 days can apply for a non immigrant ED visa at the immigration in Bangkok.

 

2. Thai embassy or Thai consular (outside Thailand)

Please check the information on the website of the Thai embassy where you would like to apply for a visa. 
Some nationalities like Indians, Chinese, Pakistanis, Sri Lanka, Middle Eastern and African will need to apply from their home country.

What should I do if I am in Bangkok?

  • If you travel to Thailand with 60 days TR visa - days, exemption 30 days or 90 days, please visit the school with required documents immidiately after arrival in Thailand.
  • Visa procedure takes about 45 days.

  1. The student will be instructed in Thai language according to the school curriculum.
  2. We offer the ED visa for students who attend classes.
  3. All fees are non-refundable except in the case of the Ministry of Education refusing to grant an approval letter and cannot be transferred to other terms, other people, or other packages.
