Applicant qualifications 

 

1. Foreigner who holds the visa type below.

- Tourist visa 60 days 
- 30, 60, 90 days Exemption visa 

 

*Holders of the following visas cannot convert their status to a non-immigrant ED visa and apply for an extension:

  • Any other non-immigrant visa 

 

2. Visa procedure takes about 50+ days. 

 

Update:

  • Starting July 15th, 2024, nationals of 93 countries and territories can enter Thailand without a visa for tourism or short-term business engagements for a period of up to 60 days. This visa exemption can be extended for an additional 30 days at the discretion of an immigration officer. (Totally 90 days.) 

  • Starting May 1st, 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival at https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home
 
 
 

 

 
STEP 1  :  School registration
 
 
 Required documents

  1. Passport 

  2. 12 photos (Size 2” inch , White background)

  3. Tuition fee 

  4. Address in Thailand (Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samutprakran, Pratumthani) 

  5. TM 30 (Notification of Residence)

  6. Thai phone number
 

 *Police check certificated for the Middle East, African people, Chinese - Click here
 
 
 

Approval letter Processing time takes 3 - 4 weeks.

The school will submit your document to the Ministry of Education.

You can collect the approval letter (Visa application) from the school once it's ready.

 

 

 

 
STEP 2 : ED visa application 
 
  
(1) Pick up the documents at school
  • Monday to Friday at 9 AM – 11 AM or 1 PM - 4 PM 
  • Bring passport and TM 30 
 
 
(2) Submit at the Immigration Cheangwattana Rd. (Divison 1), C1 Counter.

Your visa must have > 16 days validity.

Requirements

(1) Visa documents from school
(2) Passport
(3) TM 30
(4) Thai phone number
(5) Visa fee is 2,000 THB (cash)
 

Please send a photo of your blue receipt to the school at aaathaischool@gmail.com or the school's official Line account (@aaathaischool).

 
 
(3) Photo Appointments at school by the immigration officials. 
Immigration officials may inform us with short notice. Therefore, we recommend you remain in Bangkok during this time.



(4) Get your ED visa stamp on your appointment date at the immigration office (C counter). 
Return to the immigration on your appointment date to get the ED visa stamp.
Bring Passport & the appointment (blue) receipt.



(5) Present your passport to the school
Within three days of receiving the stamp for visa extension processing. 

 

Important Note

  • Your ED Visa start date begins when you submit the requirements at the immigration office.
  • Immigration's visa processing time is about 16 days.
  • Please dress appropriately when you go to immigration.

 

Immigration office hours: Monday - Friday at 8:30 - 16:00
(You should arrive at the immigration office before 10.00 am.)
